I don't wanna sound like a miserable sod, but I'm keeping my hopes low for this atm, as i know 100floors is alot and would make for a very tall tower, I just don't want this to turn into a 225west when we expected it to be atleast 472m (yet i know there's a possibility of it now being 1500ft+)
plus i'll be more happy when it is fully revealed

This is sure getting a lot of play based on a one line comment...it seems like the Witkoff deal is much farther down the road...at least we have a site.
Are these two deals related? Did Shvo get beat out for the Park Lane?

Witkoff is a big player. Schvo is not, but he seems to have Israelis behind him.

Or Dubai as alternative. Shvo has been spending a lot of time there for development projects selling to the elites of the world. he has even opened up shop there, etc. I'm sure he had made some pretty good connections there for him to come back to NY with every intention to tap into those connections.

A 100 story tower! Awesome! New York needs one of those.

I hope SHoP gets the job for this building. Their 107 West 57th Street design was FANTASTIC! I think Adrian Smith is a great architect, and I want him to get the job too, but his Nordstrom Tower proposal was a bit flat.

That doesn't make you a miserable sod, it makes you realistic. I have low hopes for almost every building till it rises out of the ground.

i do so hope that this building will get a bigger footprint and doesn't tapper too much so that midtown finally gets another bigger tower to get more attention and keep an eye away from a possible cluster of many very thin structures. a lot of the thin buildings try to look unique and therefor i was afraid midtown would look like a mess in the end, but one central tower with a bigger footprint, which is tallest and has a rather normal appearance would prevent this from happening. so this building really seems like a possible candidate for that. however if it will end up being as thin as well...

101 is a classy number. Just look at Taipei 101.

With 100 floors this won't be 2 000 feet.

I don't know whether they have enough air rights for another 20 floors. If they don't, they can't add them

A 2000ft Shvo tower is possible to build. You imagine a tower with 105/108 floors and 1700ft tall (roof or roof+crown) plus a spire of 300ft.

C'mon. He thought 225 would be 2,000 feet and it wasn't even 75% that height. Dream on, I doubt this'll be over 1,500 feet. Sorry for being realistic.
