Has to be built first. There's a long, long way to go before we start talking 500m or 600m or anything like that. Don't count your chickens.

Even with floors as high as 432 Park's (15'6"), it would still be 28 metres short of 500. Ceilings much higher than that are improbable.

Why do you only care about height? Design is what truly matters.

It may reach 500 m if we add a spire, but i doubt its roof will reach 500m.

I'm already satisfied with the number of floors. Finally a new proposal with 100+ floors. 40 years ago, the 3 tallest towers together had 322 floors. Now the 3 tallest build towers have 234 floors.

It's a great render with a unique, well can't even really call it a crown...lol does look like a goal post! I'm just not really sure about this whole Shvo business... is it serious enough to warrant a thread or just fantastical boasting and blather for a guy who has talent but an ego and mouth to match. If he's gonna build though the render would be a good place to start... in my view it's got to go 100 ft higher than the Nordstrom Tower, however high it does eventually rise... at least to the top of the spire or whatever ornamental top, and it should have an ornamental top unlike the other towers going in the area(other than Tower Verre on the other end). Put up or shut up, just Shvo up and deal!

I'll believe it's more than just a big ego going off to get some attention when I see it. No way like some people hope it would challenge 2,000 ft but to fit in on the boast it would have to be taller than the Nordstrom Tower... and we're gathering that tower will be 1,500 ft at least, despite the current listing of 1,424.

This was over at the CentraRuddy UES Tower thread and this thread deserves a bump!!

We can definitely detective this one). There could be a leak or press release about all this tomorrow. In a sense, the cat's already out of the bag thanks to the YIMBY. Early? Yes. As for height, we've had serious supertall proposals that got downgraded before and we've had serious highrise proposals that morphed into supertalls. NYC real estate is a very fluid game. Nothing is ever really off the table until the diggers show up.

The Ziegfeld Theatre is a prime site waiting for development, as is 52-56 W 57th, which is already vacant.

It's a matter of time before something very tall is built on both sites.
