Blame that on Bill Clinton and Wesley Clark, war criminals. Germany was "forced" into participation by NATO obligations while Clinton diverted attention from his domestic problems including impeachment. The German involvement in this unfortunate episode does not tarnish or undue the comment referenced above.

This is a beautiful thread.

Do not destroy it with insults about American 'criminals' or any arguments about war. They are never settled and they only create more hostility.

sometimes you're bit over abitious I think it would just be "electors dam way/road" or mybe "prince electors dam".
But i really like your fotos. To bad i lost my pictures of the area from the mid 90's. Would have been interesting to see the comparison i think.

The Anhalter Bahnhof was the main international train hub for Berlin during the classic heyday of pre-air travel. 101 years ago this May, Czar Nicholas II arrived here at the Anhalter Bahnhof to attend the wedding of Victoria Luise, only daughter of Kaiser Wilhelm. While not rebuilt, thankfully its façade of yellow brick and cornice sculptures remain.

This building where Albert Einstein conducted much of his work remains a classic element of the Gendarmenmarkt area.

An 1890s welcoming image each time residents arrived home to this apartment building in the Kreuzberg area.

The district of Berlin-Schöneberg is getting a spectacular facade reconstruction:

This poor turd

will be turned into this!

The project is called Maison Ouest and is located at Ansbacher Straße 30 / Passauer Straße 38.
It's quite close to the famed KaDeWe department store.

These are all coat of arms of prussian provinces. In your quote on the left side Posen and on the right side Schlesien (Silesia).

I thought first it is Prussia on the left and Brandenburg on the right side.
