Another good reason to fly to Rome from Nice

Alitalia announces the opening of a third rotation between the Riviera and the transalpine capital this summer.

This third frequency will be open between June and September 2016.

For their part, Marseille and Montpellier win a daily rotation each from 1 May, respectively two and three flights a day.

These new flights will be operated by Airbus A319 aircraft, configured in two classes: business and economy.

In total, Alitalia will offer 122 frequencies between Rome and six French airports in 2016, an increase of 10%.

NICE COTE D'AZUR AIRPORT, THE FIRST IN FRANCE TO ACHIEVE CARBON NEUTRALITY

In line with recent innovative environmental initiatives such as the switch to 100% renewable electricity, the testing of the first 100% electric airport shuttle by biberonnage and the installation of an autonomous power supply system and Air conditioning for business aviation, the Nice Côte d'Azur Airport becomes the first French Carbon Neutral Airport by obtaining Carbon Level 3+ accreditation, and the 25th certified airport in the world.

Our Group is reaching the final milestone in the approach taken with Airport Carbon Accreditation, that of Carbon Neutrality, two years before the date set by the Group, ie by 2018.

The level of accreditation 3+ implies that the airport manager undertakes, after several years of reduction, to continue the reductions and to offset the residual emissions to achieve the carbon neutrality of the operations under the control of the airport.

A new victory that welcomes the efforts of the airport group in terms of energy performance and reduction of its greenhouse gas emissions.

Indeed, as of 2011, Airports of the Côte d'Azur had integrated the independent program Airport Carbon Accreditation allowing airports around the world to measure their carbon footprint and especially to implement programs to drastically reduce their greenhouse gases , According to 4 different levels (mapping, reduction, optimization and neutrality). The Airport Carbon Accreditation is an independent program * launched by ACI EUROPE, a Brussels-based organization dedicated to the European aeronautics industry, in conjunction with ACI WORLD. An independent audit is carried out at each level change to verify the compliance of the processes with the program guidelines

Airlines, assistants, freight companies, helicopter companies, shops, restorers, car rental companies, cleaning companies, oil tankers, administrations, security companies, etc. To date, 37 partners are participating voluntarily in the Airport program Carbon Accreditation.

Since 2010, the Niçoise platform has reduced its emissions in kg CO2 equivalent per passenger by 75%, thanks in particular to the fruitful partnership with Groupe Electricité de France with the signing of a 100% hydraulic power purchase contract French.
