The site is the triangular area as shown on this copy of Google Map of the area - it being located to the adjoining area to the east (in Google images which travellers caravans on it) which has recently had ground preparation in advance of new housing development ( previously covered on this Gateshead thread, my post #486 of 12/01/12, at the moment nothing further is progressing on this scheme beyond the levelled and rolled site work carried out)

Follow up to my previous post #744 on 21/08/12 works now progressing on site with Main Contractor Brims - see following photographs through fencing by myself Tuesday 21/09/12 approx 1030 ( hosted on Photobucket) showing foundation and ground floor slab work together with start of superstructure blockwork
They are still building in areas of high risk. I passed the old Bridon Fibres (British Ropes/Haggies) factory in the Teams on Sunday and theres a massive build going on there. In 1974 the whole area was under three feet of water when a combination of rain (nothing like what we get now) high tides and wind flooded most of lower Dunston.
Since then, the Metrocentre, and most of the riverside down to Dunston Staithes has been built upon.
Maybe, just maybe they have beefed up the drainage sytems but I have my doubts.
I think any potential occupier should check with their insurance company what their premiums would rise to if the area flooded again. It might just put purchasers off!

Went down to Teams area 28/10/13 and it does seem completed as all site boundary temporary fencing has been removed and replaced with permanent metal and timber fences
It gives information about the complex, text including
