SHENZHEN | Ping An Finance Center South | 293m | 961ft | 51 fl | T/O

Ping An Finance Center South
Architect: KPF
Height: ~300m
Construction start: early 2014

Not much is known about this tower. It's part of the Ping An Finance Center. Those two blurry renders are the most recent ones. Also we know from the architect himself, David Malott, that the tower will be around 300m tall.

It just started preparation and soon will start construction so it's about the time to make a separate thread for it.

Construction site.

Looks decent to me. A bit disspointed with the height though, it should have been over 400 meter.
Now it is more part of the mediocre surrounding buildings than part of the Ping-An complex.

Yeah, you have to remember they still have to do a lot of digging, then drill the piles, then do more digging, by the time they're done with that the main tower will be at like 500m already.

Plus this one while much smaller is still a supertall. Not something you can build in two, three years.

Is the height confirmed at 300m or is it just a guess at this point?

If this is the construction site than what is the big hole next to Ping An IFC?

the architect himself said it is about 300m

also on the renders the connected side tower of ping an isn't shown. how far will it be away from this one?

It's just across the street of the Ping'An site(south of it). You can see in this picture the hole for the mall beside Ping'An and the road intersection where Coco Park is.

in the end it doesn't matter much if it is 305m or 295m. it would just be said if it will be even shorter like 280m.

The angle is different. I'm not sure what's going on here, but I would welcome the start of this towers construction.

Will there be a underground /elevated link for pedestrians between the two towers?
