There is no Hilton in JC, are you thinking of the Hyatt? Maybe your thinking of Atlantic City, NJ?

Hmm, I don't know. I stayed in Hilton in JC as far as I'm concerned. There was a great view of Manhattant there and it took about 40 minutes to get there. But it wasn't Atlatnic City for sure!

Much better skyline and city than Newark. It looks like part of Manhatten when you drive up to it from Newark

With New York City right across the river, it makes Jersey City look small and pale in comparison. A tall skyscraper, American Financial Exchange, at 900 ft is on hold. So until they build that tower, it just doesnt look good near New York City.

That tower was proposed years ago. Something has already been built on the proposed parcel.

You have to view it as its own city. The reason why the city never gets any recognition is because its so overshadowed by its neighbor.

Thx for update, i havent been there for long time and back then they were still proposing it there. Maybe something better will come up. Hopefully a tower that can rival New York's towers.

If i made add a little more, i think with a taller tower or a tower that can stand out on its own thru its design will be great for Jersey City. Jersey City need to have something that really stands out on its own and attrct more people to visit there. That will do a lot of good.

I think the Goldman Sachs Tower is a pretty good rival. If it were in NYC itself, it would be the 13th tallest.

I give Jersey City an 8.5. Considering its proximity to NYC it tends to be overwhelmed, but for its size Jersey City is a winner.

This was a hard decision to make. From some angles, it looks boxy and monochromatic, and from others very dynamic and attractive. Averaging the two together I'm coming up with a rating that rounds up to 8.

So many of the scrapers are so close to the water you would think that they would flood easily. There appears to be very little immediate elevation off the Hudson River.

They're no closer to the water than the WFC across the river. Flodding isn't ever an issue here.

This one is in Fort Lee, actually. Had some great time there at a friend's Sweet 16 recently.
