8/10 Jersey City is nice looking and should be compared with buildings in Manhattan. The tallest building, which belongs to Goldman Sachs acts primarily as a back office for the company's headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. Most of the other buildings were also built across the Hudson River in Jersey City primarily because land prices are cheaper than Manhattan. It's much more intertwined with what's happening in Manhattan than downtown Newark.

For a small city, it's pretty damn good.

I remember

I remember when JC was a dirty, depressing place to be. They have a done a great job and should be proud of their accomplishments to clean up their city.
They are no longer in the shadow of NYC, but an accent to it!

for a city with that low of a population, that skyline makes it look like hong kong! i think it deserves a 10 for nice buildings, and the density if excellent!

As i went to college in nyc i have seen the JC skyline change very fast over a few years, MOst of the buildings are modern and boring looking BUt the new Goldman Sachs building is wonderful and i love how it sets right next to the Hudson. On the ferry to Staten island you get the best views of Manhatten,JC,Brooklyn and the second two help frame Manhetten so well.

For a city of just 240,000, it could probably put a lot of other cities with that population to shame. 8.5/10. Impressive for its size.

Jersey City

This is a view of Jersey City from Manhattan. JC gets overshadowed by Gotham across the river, but it is rising fast. Most of the high rise buildings below have been built in the last 15-20 years.

Beautiful collection of buildings, makes up for the lack of height and size.
