Ohh nice to see it in context with the Downtown skyline. It and its future supertall neighbour will actually help block the Verizon building from one angle!

The cladding looks great. I absolutely adore the dark shade it has.

That's true, but 8 Spruce Street will be blocked too.

Also, it's about as tall as the Manhattan Bridge towers, which are 102m/336ft.

Extell’s One Manhattan Square offloads its $13M duplex penthouse
The Lower East Side tower has its first überpricey sale
http://ny.curbed.com/2016/12/13/1393...penthouse-sold

Quote:
Sales launched last month at Extell’s sleek Lower East Side monolith One Manhattan Square, and today, the developers announced that one of the two extremely ritzy duplex penthouses has officially sold for roughly $13 million.

The five-bedroom apartment offers 3,699 square feet of living space, along with a 416-square-foot “entertaining terrace.” Listed at $13.178 million, the pad will feature a corner master suite (with dressing area), a windowed gourmet kitchen (with breakfast bar), and a “grand salon” (with stellar views).

Extell's One Manhattan Square Gets its Glass On, LES Domination Well Underway
January 24, 2017
Quote:
In Manhattan, it’s getting harder and harder to build stand-out skyscrapers that present most occupants with far-reaching views. With zoning in many neighborhoods calling for “contextual” heights, and with the city’s high-rise districts bursting with ever-taller towers, it has become an expensive proposition for developers to build towers that offer residents more than a view into the building next door.

being northeast of the financial district, this tower rises in the gap between Downtown Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn as viewed from the harbor.
