I ask me, what is the new standard? Somethin between 550-650 m? 110-120 Floors?
To be better than most of the buildings, that are bulit in the near future...you must built over 800 m...

When u see the development in China...u have to admit, that China has a much faster development than the USA...Europe has nearly nothing to say in this competition...there nearly exsiting no culture for those highrises...

I never figured out, why no country in Europe builds skyscraper like the rest of the world. Is it because of strict rules like in Cologne, where no building is allowed to be build, which is taller than the Cologne Cathedral?
And the money can't be a big problem in Europe.

Yes Russia do, but what about all the other countries in Europe? Germany? France? Switzerland? Norway? Sweden? England? (Ok London is building skyscrapers now)
No country is joining the race of the tallest, biggest or prettiest.

France is slowly easing its way into building high-rise clusters in its largest cities. There is the La Defense district in Paris (which is the largest single skyline in Europe and should soon be getting twin 300m towers), there is the Part Dieu district in Lyon (which only has 3 notable towers but has some interesting developments in the works) and finally there is the new Quai Darenc district in Marseille (only one tower finished but there is one under construction and a couple more coming)

That being said, it is a very slow process, the towers have a very difficult time being accepted in the city centers and so end up in clusters in the periphery of the cities. In addition the vast majority of towers are for office use only as many French people are still reluctant of the idea of living in a tower (maybe because they conjure up images of state housing from the 50-70s??)

yeah currently it is on hold on SSP, but i think I should put it back on U/C, but have the completion date not set, similar to the skyscraper in Dubai. I think that would be more accurate.

Dubai architecture is amazing!Comparing European cities to Dubai is like comparing apples and Oranges. The cities' economic drive is totally different.Dubai is largely a new city carefully planned to offer specific services to the whole world. Most European cities are old and their growth patterns "only" changed after specific needs were required such as population explosion, modernity, geographical factors etc
