That's the old design, gaoloumi posted a new design by tfp Farrell. Will post it after I come home

edit:

image credit goes to feihuoliuxing from gaoloumi, and it seems to be official since we can see the tfp logo down there

Did he credit the actual source? I'm so tired of the trollish behaviour in those forums, 99% of times they don't post the link. They don't even bother to mention where they found the info

I think the design posted by Delta1088 is correct.

Some more renders of that building from Gaoloumi / douwei321.

SHENZHEN | Farrells Qianhai Project | 320m | 1050ft | App

http://www.designboom.com/architectu...ne-02-12-2014/
http://www.archdaily.com/476910/farr...cial-district/
http://www.dezeen.com/2014/02/13/far...a-skyscrapers/

international architecture studio, farrells, has been chosen to masterplan two important sites within the qianhai special economic zone in the chinese city of shenzhen. the two plots are located in a prime area of the developing district, adjacent to the qianhaiwan metro station. the scheme plans to boost trade between shenzhen and neighboring hong kong.

the project incorporates over 460,000 sqaure meters of commercial space, housing grade A offices, serviced residential units and a host of retail outlets. a 320 meter tall tower forms a new landmark for the city, while a pair of gateway towers form the entrance to the mixed-use scheme. the development is inter-connected at various storeys, creating a three-dimensional masterplan for the urban quarter.

‘this project represents a great opportunity to bring sustainable design principles to this dynamic and rapidly expanding part of shenzhen. the proximity of the area to hong kong is important and qianhai will benefit from cross border trade to soon become a thriving district in its own right,’ explained sir terry farrell.

I really like the concept and layout. I hope Shenzhen Metro will be an integral part of this area.

More coming soon. We dreamt of a ~200m ocean for Qianhai, but we may get a ~300m one instead

hopefully still a lot of 400m towers as well, still a bit worried about a possible height limit we may get it is great however that so many buildings go U/C so fast, Qianhai really started already, unlike Shenwan for example, which still will take some time to start. So hopefully we will get a steady storm of 300m buildings in the qianhai area for the next ten years and more

Very nice designs, but they don't look very tall.

I'm pretty sure A-02-02 is China Resources plot. So Excellence got both A-02-03 and A-02-04 plots.

This map on the left tells us the phases of Qianhai, very useful. The upper right part is the part developing first, the two subparts just north of the red first phase on the left should have the tallest towers. The middle part should have a lot of 200-300m but nothing super tall lol, and the bottom part is an industrial/port area, I'm guessing it will be redeveloped after the other plots are filled.

Technically not part of Qianhai is Bao'An CBD which is at the top, it is further developed and is mainly 100-200m buildings.
