I really cross my fingers for Ole Scheeren. It's the most spectacular and with the east/ west window also the most meaningful design.

I hope for the opposite. Ole Sheeren looks spectacular but completely arbitrary with no reference to the location it is placed in. I am not a fan of such "Allerweltsarchitektur".

Rehm Koolhaas has a similar concept but fits it into the neighbourhood, adding added value to the area and the urban structures as a whole.

Spectacular? Fantastic? It's hideous. Pretty much the same level of quality as their "journalism." The third one is abysmal as well. The second one is weak, but the least offensive as the three.

How any of that made the finals is beyond me.

No matter which project they choose, it would fit "superbly" into the commie block arena around that area.

I completely agree droneriot. They are all pretty god awful. But if I had to go with one, I guess the one by Rem Koolhaas my pick.

Doesn't matter which one will be chosen, it will be an eyecatcher anyway...

The first. More landmark feeling.
Or the third one.

Agree, but I would also find the second proposal good. While the first has the Landmark Feeling, the second has many urban Qualities and would function as a whole scale "fill in" City block, which would also be no bad Thing.

The third proposal I found boring on first look, and it hasn´t grown on me. The simplicity of ist idea is simply to simple, the rectangular Frame of the building just too "frame-like".

I don't think BIG was doing it's best work on this project. They're usually more innovative.
