Here is some information about which plots have been affected by the airport hight restrictions - unfortunately I'm not able to understand everything, especially the map. Can someone elaborate more on this (who speaks Chinese )

These pictures got posted two days ago by douwei321 on gaoloumi:

I think this tower is 300m tall, also the thread about this tower on gaoloumi says that this is 300m.

I'm just hoping we'll get a sea of 280m-310m towers by now

That was one year ago, can we please change the title? It's obvious that the project was redesigned, and the photos of the model match this.

I'm pretty confident it will be as dense as Futian, just without a dominating tower in the middle

here is the thread

The Chinese name is 兆华斯坦国际金融中心

兆华斯坦 is an American company called Silverstein Properties, they have a lot of projects in New York

so a better translation would be "Silverstein International Financial Center"

PS: if you translate project names, please also provide the Chinese or at least the link to the page, so that the original is easy to find.

It makes things so much easier if you are proficient in Chinese (which I am obviously not - still stuck with google chrome translation but better than nothing. Even 5 years ago it would have been next to impossible. I guess in 5 more years machine translation will effectlively be a solved problem).

Silverstein is a troll developer. They announced a 400m+ tower in Chongqing, they even had a ground-breaking ceremony, and they built nothing.

Even good developers backed out of chongqing though when the ambition fell to pieces and in qianhai the height decreases were not in the developers hands.

They are already pouring the foundation - this is clearly UC and not "pro"

At this time we can't tell what the concrete pump is working on, but it's not necessarily a part of a building. Also I can see only one pump working so it's highly unlikely to be a raft foundation. But even so, this is prep for a while already.

This thread is so messy it even confused the heck out of me for a moment there

I assume what BarbaricManchurian posted here http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...8&postcount=84 was originally a separate thread? In that case that Energy Finance Center thread should have never merged into this Transport Hub thread...

The Qianhai Rail Transport Hub parcel of land is marked by orange in the picture below, with the tallest proposed tower being 294m located in the yellow. This project is developed by Shenzhen Metro.

The International Energy Finance Center parcel of land is marked by purple. The yellow marked area had 2 proposed schemes: A) one 450m tower, B) one 300m plus one 150m. B is thus far the most likely choice. This parcel of land is developed by Silverstein.

These 2 projects are independent of each other.

Edit: what Dubai Skyscraper said above is correct, most of the "work" you see in side view pictures is for the underground infrastructure (Nanping Expressway tunnel) beneath the road parallel to the plot. For the Silverstein project, you can see the really short tower is well under way, but the supertall space is occupied by worker dormitories.
