*) Type: 12 = two carriageways, 1 = 1st carriageway, 2 = 2nd carriageway, 21 = 2nd carriageway with rededication of 1st carriageway to motorway

The 12 is a thing that originated from the Autobahn-online website. I haven't seen it used elsewhere.

Two carriageways.

Correct. I have no better idea how to show that information.

An annex to the contract was signed in the meantime, extending the date to 23.05.2014.

The motorway may be opened earlier than that, but I 2014 is impossible.

Some sections of the A16 are 1x2, without barrier. They alternate with full 2x2 sections to allow overtakings. 1x2 sections are usually in long tunnels with a single bore but with space reservation for a second one. AADT will hardly exceed 15.000 so this is not a problem.

1x2 roads would be considered expressways if not main roads in most countries, but in Switzerland they are basically considered motorways, just with less lanes because of less traffic than other motorways (and 100 insead of 120 speed limit).

I know: > click < . Can you give me more detailed information which sections are 1x2 or 2x2? Does all A16 sections have 1x2 parts?

I forgot that, and I replied here: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...10148&page=129

Also the A4, A5, A6, A8, A9, A13, A20, A21 have this alternance 1x2-2x2 (and the Gotthard tunnel, of course).

I think I've arranged it right with type "1" (= one carriageway instead of "12" = two carriageways) b/c all u/c A16 sections have at least one 1x2 part.

I could ignore the little mistake or I could split the sections in 1 and 12 parts. I would need detailed information (1-/12-section lengths) from you. But up to now I even have no information about the total section length (and no information about construction start......) .

Well, the contract is already signed... I am adding it now but please keep me up-to-date when the works really will begin so that I can correct the date. Thanks in advance.

Do you also have direct links to the project pages of the other sections?

Stupid decision, if you ask me. Drivers will still need to pay like a motorway, but with the disvantage of driving at no more than 110 even with good weather and low traffic in what it looks like exactly a motorway (0,5m in a 4-lane highway is unnoticeable at naked eye).
I guess it's also a matter of slopes and curvature radii. I think it wouldn't have been classified motorway even with full width.

You can add 2 motorways in Denmark

15: Brabrand - Herning SØ 73,7 km (2002 to 2016)

The first 44,7 kilometres has been build in 3 stages finished in 2002, 2003 and 2012.

The last 29 kilometres through Silkeborg will be finished in 2 stages in 2015 and 2016.

17: Motorring 3 - Frederikssund N 34 km (2011 to 2???)

Stage 1 from Motorring 3 to Motorring 4, 4 kilometres build between 2007 and 2011/12

Stage 2 from Motorring 4 to Tværvej, 5 kilometres build between 2012 and 2015.

Stage 3 from Tværvej to Frederikssund N, 25 kilometres planned but not with a planned starting date.

Thanks . Do you have more detailed information about the two "15" sections (length, location, construction start)?
Will both motorways feature two carriageways?
Are there currently further new motorways u/c?

Yes i forgot Herning - Holstebro, silly my

Link to route 15, but only the 29 kilometres around Silkeborg.

When a motorway is finished it is deleted from the map on this webside so the Motorways west and east of Silkeborg is not included.

http://www.vejdirektoratet.dk/DA/vej...x#.UsBX-dLuKM4

Link to route 17

http://www.vejdirektoratet.dk/da/vej...x#.UsBXktLuKM4

Link to route 18, the motorway will go from Snejbjerg west of Herning to Holstebro N and is aprox 40 kilometres long

http://www.vejdirektoratet.dk/da/vej...x#.UsBYrNLuKM4

Also route 23, the socalled Kalundborg motorway can be added, but here there is no governtment approval yet.

Only the first stage, 6,5 kilometres from Elverdam at the Holbæk motorway to Regstrup has been build just yet.

This section opened this year.

The next stage is a 5 kilometre long bypass of Regstrup.

The third and final stage is a 30 kilometre long motorway from Regstrup to Kalundborg.

http://www.vejdirektoratet.dk/da/vej...x#.UsBbZtLuKM5

All 4 motorway projects are with 4 lanes and in full motorway standard with a 130 km/h speed limit.

Thanks. I will add Denmark and Sweden after completion of the current list - and expressway adding (cz, de, pl, hu, sk).

Are there any expressways currently u/c in Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Serbia, Slovenia, Srpska, Switzerland or The Netherlands?
