I have a question. In the CZ there are a few roads U/C which will have 2x2 lanes, will be grade-separated, but won't be access-controlled. However, they will become access-controlled once the appropriate law comes into force.
Should they be on the list aswell?

It will not be access-controlled, bicycles and tractors will really be allowed? What does 'law' mean, the announced rededication of many R to D roads? Does this also effect to the I/11, is it planned to be a future R road?

They won't be, unless they'll put there some "ban" signs.
And yes, these parts of I/11, aswell as some other I-roads, are planned to be future expressway R-roads.

Hmmmmmm...... I will add the projects b/c the roads will technically have motorway standard. Can you provide a complete list of all ongoing Czech projects plus projects which have been opened in 2014?

Quote:
The pre-conditions to be added to the list are, that the future road must:
- feature 2 carriageways with each 2 lanes
- be grade-separated
- be access-controlled
It doesn't matter if the future road will feature hard shoulders.
A median is not mandatory but there must be a fixed barrier between the carriageways, for instance guard railing.
If a 2nd carriageway is planned but not yet u/c, the project is added if the other pre-conditions - except barrier - are already fulfilled.
Projects which were under construction but are suspended now, are added too, if the completion is still planned by the countries demand plan.
In addition, roads will be added which will be rededicated to motorway or expressway status of the respective country.
Widening projects are not included.

Perhaps you should drop the '12' notation. By far most questions in this thread are 'what does 12 mean?'. The concept of building one carriageway first and years (decades) later the second is rare and perhaps not as relevant. As far as I know the '12' concept is not used outside of Autobahn-Online.

I think there are no motorway status single carriageway roads (and if they exist they are exceedingly rare), so when there is a second carriageway added, it could be counted as a 'new motorway' instead of '2'.

And what will you replace it with?
Or will you remove all single carriageways from the list?

I am not yet sure. I will probably do it this way:

R2: Lovcica – Lovca 5.8km (November 2012 to >= November 2014) [1st carriageway] – project – map

I could also use 02, 24, 04 etcetera (w/o shoulder notation)...
Maybe 0>2, 2>4, 0>4 etcetera...

Why? The "Venetian Foothills Highway" will be:
- feature 2 carriageways with each 2 lanes
- be grade-separated
- be access-controlled

And it will be all new (except for that single stretched that were will be constructed only a new carriageway with the adaptation of the old-one)...

He means the '12' or '1' or '2' notation.

Perhaps it could include [first carriageway] or [second carriageway] only when it is different from the regular motorway construction. But hey, it's MichiH's show
