Usually how a national road system wirks you can easier find, sometmies read at wikipedia. After a while you get used to it. ringroads special names are not so common to much people. Its just a guess.

Update for Ireland. Please change existing information about M17 and M18 projects as these projects are not separate and the information about start dates and end points (Oranmore) is incorrect.

Ireland M18/M17/N17: Gort - Tuam 57.4km (April 2014 to February 2018) [comment: 52.3km of motorway, 4.2km of dual-carriageway (divided highway/expressway), M18: Gort to Rathmorrisey i/c with M6, M17: Rathmorrisey i/c with M6 - south of Tuam, N17 (4.2km dual-carriageway): south of Tuam to north of Tuam (bypass of Tuam)] - projectmap

While the corrections are valid, this would treat it as two schemes, not one (maybe if they numbered it M18 all the way, matching the N18 ending on the N17 north of the N6...)

M17: Rathmorrisey (M6) – Tuam 25.5km (April 2014 to February 2018) – project – map
M18: Gort – Rathmorrisey (M6) 27.7km (April 2014 to February 2018) – project – map

The N17 Tuam bypass isn't HQDC, so doesn't count for this list.

from said page (my bold of the relevant stuff)
Quote:
Traffic Management

Night time lane closures – These will continue into February to allow a number of different activities to be carried out which need to be done with a lane closure. Traffic lights will be used during these works.

The installation of the 40mph speed limit along the A21is scheduled to begin in mid / late March. As part of this process a right turn ban will be put in place when entering or leaving Half Moon Lane, Pembury Walks or the garage.

Translocation of Woodland

Work is now underway which started in early January. The area currently being moved is located near to Longfield Road, where the donor and receptor sites are on the same side of the A21, so there is no need for any additional transport or crossing points on the A21.

Archaeology & Cultural Heritage

The team of archaeologists are working on site and are checking all areas of ground before any excavation begins. This is called a watching brief and the archaeologists will continue to do this until they are content no artefacts or interesting features are likely to be found.

To date, a few items of interest have been located and, once they have been fully assessed, we hope to be able to share what they were.

The removal of the barn and stables from May Day Farm has begun and will be ongoing until March / April. Representatives from the Weald and Downland Museum are undertaking the recording and dismantling works.

Construction Activities

Some limited construction work began during January.

Near the Vauxhall Lane junction work has started to create a haul road, which will in time become the footprint for the non-motorised user route. Construction vehicles will be using this route to get to work areas, so we limit the need for our traffic to be running on the A21.

The main compound, the entrance of which will be off the A21 just to the north of Half Moon Lane, is being created.
It is clear stuff started happening in January. The full on stuff might not begin for maybe as many as three weeks, but site clearance has begun, road closures are happening and construction has started.

Also, I tend to find that when British Government sources use seasons, they are often short hand for quarters, so 'Spring' is Jan-Mar, not Mar-May.

It's one scheme, one project, with two different route numbers, with the M6 Rathmorrisey interchange as the northern terminus of the M18 section of the project, and the southern starting point for the M17/N17 section of the project.

The N17 Tuam bypass certainly counts as per the description on page 1:

Quote:
New motorways and expressways are projects which are currently under construction or have been opened since 1st January 2014.
The pre-conditions to be added to the list are, that the future road:
- must feature 2 carriageways with each 2 lanes
- must be grade-separated
- should be access-controlled
It doesn't matter if the future road will feature hard shoulders.
A median is not mandatory but there must be a fixed barrier between the carriageways, for instance guard railing.
The Tuam bypass will have
2 carriageways with 2 lanes each
will not have any intermediate junctions from its start to end, so won't need to be grade-separated
It won't have hard shoulders but that's not a problem and there will be a fixed barrier between the carriageways.

For an example of what the N17 Tuam bypass will look like, here's the N4 Dromod bypass:

In this thread we list separate roads separately so the Irish N17/M17/M18 should be listed as 3 items. Note that all three will likely open separately too. The N17 Tuam Bypass certainly will take at least 6 months less time to build than the rest.

Firstly, the project website describes the entire project as one scheme, with different route numbers for different segments.

Quote:
DirectRoute (Tuam) Limited signed a contract with the National Roads Authority (NRA) on the 30th April 2014 for the financing, design, construction, operation and maintenance of the N17/18 Gort to Tuam PPP Scheme.

As part of the Government’s Infrastructure Stimulus package the Project has been procured via a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The private sector company is paid in full by the State by way of availability payments, i.e. contractual payments for providing the road and making it available for use to a high standard.

The N17 N18 Gort to Tuam PPP Scheme forms part of the Atlantic corridor outlined under Transport 21. The scheme involves the design and construction of a new road to replace the existing N17 and N18 between Gort and Tuam. The existing N17 and N18 will thereafter be reclassified as regional roads. The scheme bypasses several adjacent towns to remove traffic bottlenecks. It is designed to accommodate national through traffic flows and will significantly improve safety and reduce journey times for traffic travelling north-south along the West of Ireland. The new road will also improve connectivity between the Western Region and Dublin and will significantly assist in the economic development of the BMW (Borders, Midlands and Western) regions.

The project road commences at the northern end of the N18 Crusheen to Gort scheme which opened to traffic in November 2010. The route will be of motorway standard from Gort to the junction at Kilmore, just south of Tuam, a distance of 53.2km. The alignment then continues with a dual carriageway Type 2 cross section, following a route to the west of Tuam town centre, to its end point on the N17 north of Tuam at Mountpotter, a distance of 4.2km.
http://www.directroutegorttotuam.ie/...formation.aspx

Secondly, the project website says there will be no sectional opening - the entire project will be open as one:

Quote:
Will there be any phased opening of the new route?
It is not planned to have a phased opening. It is planned to open the full scheme in its entirety from Gort to North of Tuam in early 2018. Works on regional and local roads traversing the mainline will in general be open to traffic once they are complete.

S7: Krakow-Igolomska – Krakow-Rybitwy 4.5km (August 2014 to July 2017) – projectmap
Krakσw-Igołomska will actually be signed as Krakσw-Nowa Huta
