Me explico.

¡Agur!

You´ll be surprised at how many other skyscrapers Monterrey has under wraps. In time we´ll see what is real and what is fiction.

By world standards, 330 meters is not that tall. I have to concede that. Mexico city may or may not have something that could even eclipse that under their sleeves. It is very feasible.

Yet remember that Monterrey´s soil is quite different from the nation´s capital. Even if Mexico City´s engineers were to come up with something that could sustain a 350 - 400 m supertall, that would be pushing every technical feat and limitation out there.

Yet if so, the supertall race may just be beginning between the nation´s capital and the nation´s industrial city. Aided by a better soil, what if Monterrey would later come up with something even taller, something around the 450m to 500m? You know Monterrey has the financial muscle to pull that off not to mention, that the soil itself is far more stable. Could the nation´s capital have an easy comeback to something like that?

The rise of Insignia is just the beginning of the race. You can count on that. It is far from over. One day though, one of the two cities will have a harder time competing and will fall short. Guess which city that will be?

Let the games begin.

Rafark my friend thank you very much, you naively just proved my point. Monterrey has a lot less office inventory. In other words, we have a lot of more room to grow.

Just think of this, Mexico City has so much more inventory and yet, Monterrey has just begun the country´s tallest tower (Koi).

I don't want to continue with the off-topic; but it's not enough for a 15+ million city. The boom is barely strating, and I'm glad other Mexican cities have a boom too, like Monterrey.
