Jinjiang XinTianDi Urban Mixuse

The situation primarily challenge is the appropriate design implementation of 800,000sm GFA (Plot ratio 8) of Mixuse development with Lifestyle Retail/Fashion Malls, Entertainment/Recreation, Exhibition centre, One stop Sichuan Tourism centre, Offices and Service Apartments on to a congested CBD site with adjacent sensitive historic/heritage elements of existing JinJiang Hotel and Renmin Grand Hall.
The appropriate optimum Mixuse solution is a fine balance of urban context contribution, land values maximization, main function groups financial maximization, main function groups spatial/massing juxtaposition, landscape/public space, convenient multi direction access and fluid pedestrian/vehicular circulation to achieve design and economic sustainability where the “Sum of the Parts is greater than the Whole”.
The curvilinear flow and fluid spatial porosity design inspiration soul comes from Sichuan pure iconic bamboo shoot, Huanglong magical geological pool wonders, curvaceous Canyon and Sichuan’s colourful lifestyle.
The Podium and Tower plans and forms are induce and derive from the function requirements of main Function groups and function requirements of sustainable design which epitome Function exceeds Form.
A Landmark urban oasis for a breath of fresh air in the vibrant and dynamic midst ofJinJiang district down town Chengdu. An iconic Gateway and window for Sichuan’s tourism.
The different mode and scale functions complexity akin to a City within a City to live, work, play, meet, learn, entertain and tourism.
The urban Lifestyle hub where traditions of culture, arts, cuisine and tourism are fused into the contemporary of fashion, trends, space, where East and West becomes One and a place to " Live what you Like, Like what you Live! "

Impressive. Reminds me of Star Wars. I like the rooftop design. It looks totally enclosed in glass. But weather permitting, I hope it's open air.
