It's a spectacular road, but this is not a spectacular thread. Looks like one of those times where some random guy stops by to post pictures from <place of origin>.

-~-~== BEAUTIFUL CHINA YA'AN - XICHANG TRANS MOUNTAIN EXPRESSWAY ==~-~-

The thread could have been much better. Some information about the projects, better pictures (not just whatever random snaps you find on photobucket, that are not credited properly). To me it takes much more to justify a separate thread for this. A general thread for "spectacular mountainous roads" or something could be better.

Amazing road. Would like to see some of the construction processes. And yes, the info about the road would highly be appreciated.

Indeed. If it's only for showing, please use your country's thread. Otherwise this subforum will end up in dozens of threads of pictures of new roads.

It is all on viaduct or in tunnels, look at the photos of the viaducts on page 1.

Again I would argue for the Chinese Mountain Megaprojects to be given their own thread. In 2011 and 2012 China was building roughly 1 x German Autobahn network EVERY YEAR and deserves an exception for the spectacular projects.
