MILAN | CityLife - Il Curvo - Libeskind Tower | 176m | 576ft | 34 fl | U/C

The tower designed by Daniel Libeskind is conceived as part of an ideal sphere. Characterized by a strong iconicity, thanks to its curved shape, Il Curvo complete CityLife District. About 30,000 sqm of GLA to use as offices, to accommodate 2,000 people. It is directly connected, to shopping areas, covered walkways, and stop Tre Torri (M5 metro line) located at the center of Piazza Tre Torri (the square).

The new design is 10x better. It saved this project for me. Looking forward to its construction! I hope the concave, downwards-facing facade will not have the same issues as 20 Fenchurch Street in London.

The old architecture, the mid-century architecture like Pirelli Tower and the new modern arhcitecture make Milan a truly interesting city.

Very nice! Milan might lay claim to the No 3 skyline in Europe.

Not dense enough for that, but it's still nice. Maybe in the future it will rise.

Milan is aiming at design quality, not exactly at cluster density.

Milan's skyline is not very dense as the towers are scattered over the city, with 2 or even more different clusters.

As Vittorio Tauber pointed out, design quality seems to be Milan's forte, as well as the integration with the historical skyline (Duomo, Castello, belltowers, etc).

This tower is going to melt cars just like the one in London.

Yes surely this building will have the same problems focussing rays of the sun and burning things like the Walkie Talkie in London? Have the designers considered that?

Design has been modified due to structural problems.
