perhaps not so many people know that not all Italian weather is the same. sun in Milan is strong only in the 15june-15sept period as in many other cities of really great part of europe. then, it's not the most important protagonist of its weather indeed.

in the last months we have been seeing it really few times...

@Ionore
I actually think that the sun will hit the convex part of the building, which won't focus light beams.

Oh, ok. I thought the concave facade was facing south, but I may be mistaken.

The buildings look good. Will the rest of the land be an urban park or something? Seems like a lot of space.

The whole area was occupied by the former Milan Fair: then moved to a huge new pole, (more info) designed by Fuksas (located in north-west Milan, near the current Expo 2015 site).

CityLife involves an area of 36,6 ha and it's one of the biggest project in Europe. The new district already host luxury apartments, and will have financial headquarters, shopping areas, services like kierkegaard, and as you can see a great public park. In addition former Pavilion 3 will host great exhibitions, events like design and fashion.

First part of public park was already opened, but at the end, the district will have 17 ha of green areas, with a lot of trees and differents plants. It will be the third park of Milan's city center, after Parco Sempione (between Peace Arch and Sforza Castle) and Giardini di Porta Venezia (near the Golden Quadrangle fashion district). However some other areas are under design. For example in the original project, there was a new contemporary art museum, designed by Libeskind, but it was canceled some time ago.
