OMG, who the hell should be able to afford that. Manhattan is becoming a natural reserve for rich people, If you're not a millionaire, you better not even consider living there

I am neither and I'm enjoying the hell out of my apartment on the UWS. Here at 72nd we have beautiful views, park access and are just a short walk from midtown. Great apartments/condos exist all over the city that anyone with a decent job can get into. You just have to look!

So is San Francisco but I still rent a room in a nice place in a decent neighborhood for $850 a month and you can do the same in Manhattan.

It's one of the most desirable places to live on the planet, obviously it's going to be expensive.

Who told you that? Brownsville is 100% hood. It's great in the summer, if you feel like getting shot.

You're not rent anything (outside of the projects) for $800 a month in Manhattan.

I think Jay is talking about renting a "room". Not an apartment.

That video is funny. I had a friend that had an apt like that in the city after getting out of college.

It was nice if ur lazy. You wake up from your bed and you roll off ur bed to the left and ur literally in the bathroom. You roll off to the right & ur in d closet. You roll off to the front and ur ready to cook! No walking required.

It was nice because she was a hottie and when she invites u to hang in her apt, you hang out together on her bed especially on a nice hot day.

I get the feeling that was originally a utility closet when the place was built.

Also, it really didn't require 7 minutes to 'tour' that little room.

This might be good news for this tower...or Manhattan West or 3 Hudson Blvd

Salesforce.com looks West for signature site
http://nypost.com/2014/07/24/salesfo...ignature-site/
Quote:
When a company starts making megadeals in other major cities, it’s time to see what’s up in ours.
We’ve now learned that Salesforce.com, which provides online tools and resources to help generate sales for any size business, is scoping out sites to make a big statement here.
In April, Salesforce leased 714,000 square feet as the name anchor tenant for a 1,070 foot-tall tower in San Francisco being developed by Boston Properties and Hines. As we told you, its curtain wall is planned to generate solar energy.
In London, the company agreed in May to become the largest tenant at Heron Tower, which will become, ta da, Salesforce Tower.
See the pattern? Now, we’ve learned that Salesforce is on the prowl in Manhattan for another signature spot and may be focused on the emerging Hudson Yards and Manhattan West areas.
As first reported by The Post’s Steve Cuozzo, Salesforce has 74,349 square feet at 685 Third Ave., where 263,662 feet is now available, but sources say Salesforce has its eye on a bigger bang for its buck.

In an e-mail, a Salesforce spokeswoman said the company does not comment on speculation and the other firms naturally declined comment as well. Stay tuned.
