Hudson Yards is just going to dwarf everything in the surrounding area. Its amazing how small the ESB looks compared to the site in the teaser image.

Willing to bet large sums of money it's 1,800 pinnacle and 1,600 or less to roof. If this pipe dream even becomes a reality. Not that in and of itself that's a bad thing because it's not at all, but I think we just need to be more grounded down to reality. Just a few pages ago people were crying out it could be 2,100+ without even mentioning the 2,000 ft limit in the area. That said if something goes up I hope it is as tall as economically feasible.

That ain't much for a 500 meter tower. 3WTC has over twice that amount of floor space

Ugly design. Someone should beat the architect to a pulp.

^Well, that is a little extreme for a design that's only a concept render, don't you think? Sure, a smack or two over the fingers may be in order, but it's not like the building is going to be built like that or anything.

There's been so much excitement about Hudson Spire this week that I had to go over there on this beautiful Friday afternoon to get the lay of the land.

This is looking south from the future intersection of 35th St and Hudson Blvd, which they've started paving.

But then, like a total noob, I pointed my camera lens the wrong direction, so here's a bonus pic of the secondary entrance for the 7 train extension and the future site of the Girasole.

Regardless, there ain't much to see.

1.2 million square feet isn't that much considering how tall this will be. Devon Tower has 1.8 million square feet and it's only 844 feet tall (257 m). It's actually kind of disappointing with that amount of square footage. But the render still looks really good.
