Really nice design. Very sleek, almost like an update and reinterpretation of the cube in La Defense (Paris). The light windows give it a bit of an Art Deco look. Hopefully they will keep the remainder of the cladding dark and avoid the hideous lighter blue that is taking over the architectural world like a plague.

Chengdu is joining the party. Too bad it only has a couple of supertall proposals, it certainly deserves to catch up with other West/Southwest cities.

I must say from these pics the surrounding buildings don't look too bad. Although they are all way smaller than this one.

chengdu is actually getting a lot of projects, now has like 15 200m buildings U/C. when i went over 2012, it only were a few it had, so it is really coming. also the greenland center seems to be on a good way giving the city the landmark tower it deserves
