FORT MCMURRAY | Golden Buffalo Centre | 149m | 489ft | 37 fl | Pro

In the middle of nowhere, a highrise could soon be born!

Quote:
Golden Buffalo proposes a multi-tower, mixed-use development consisting of a medical facility, commercial, mixed office, and hotel space in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, adding approximately 863,000 sqft of finished floorspace.

The facility will be designed to the highest level of sustainable development, featuring pre-cast modular and net-zero construction techniques. Setting the precedent for commercial office and residential space throughout North America, the towers will feature reinforced and post-tensioned insulated concrete within a glass fašade.

We will build a vital and dynamic place to work, play and live that will become an international icon for Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo.

According to the pdf, Fort McMurray's quite the boomtown. From 33,000 people in 1996 to approaching 80,000 today. By 2030, 200,000 are expected in this frigid expanse in Northern Alberta

And Canadian settlement of its geography continues ever further north. They're predicting Ft. Mac's population could explode to 250,000 people in just 16 years. It's roughly 80,000 today. That would likely make it the 9th largest city in western Canada.

Top notch looking building too.
