Fedex 767 cockpit video. Very poor quality, but you can see clearly new big LCD screens:

Boeing could be getting an order for up to 50 767-300Fs from FedEx later this year.

http://leehamnews.com/2015/07/08/boe...eighter-order/

This would keep the production of the commercial version of the 767 going for years to come. A welcome addition next to the 767 tankers, if it results in a rate increase it will be good to keep the costs of production down and Boeing's cash-flow going if they are going to cut the rate of current generations 777s. FedEx might also buy some more 777Fs though, it could be the largest order for freighters in years.

I have been informed by a credible source with knowledge of the deal, that it will be announced this Saturday at PAE during a ceremony with Fedex Execs and Boeing. They are staging a new 777F and 767F that are currently inside the paint hangers for the photo op and announcement.

FedEx just flew in a lot of execs in 4 of their private jets. Sounding like that rumor is in fact more truth than rumor.

So FedEx brought 9 Bizjets to BFI for a Board Meeting and Large Order Announcement over the weekend. Boeing staged a 777F & 767F at the EDC for a ceremony.

The only thing that we are still waiting for is the actual announcement of the order.

But with such a large meeting it would be a big surprise if this order doesn't materialize in the end.

And to be fair, FedEx doesn't really has another choice then to go for new 767s. Even though there will be plenty used passenger 767 available for a cargo conversion these will all already have more then enough hours and cycles. Partly because the 787 delays kept them in use much longer then previously anticipated.

Larger planes are also a problem as the wing span becomes an issue. With Hubs being optimized for planes the size of a A300 or MD-11, they will have problems with the larger planes, even the A330F and especially the 777F for US domestic use. Therefor factory new 767s are a very logical option, also in terms of pricing. It would be a very good deal for both Fedex and Boeing, if they order 50 straight away it would even become the biggest order for the 767 ever. That would make it extra remarkable as this age of the commercial 767 program.

I wonder if UPS airlines will follow suit, they already have a large 767 fleet and still plenty of A300s and MD-11s that will need to be replaced sometime in the no so distant future.

Is really sad that this is the last year for AeroMexico's B767 on it's fleet. As spotter, I'm really going to miss this livery so much.

You still have that on your B777s and B737s.

I know, but if it's not a B767, it doesn't feel the same, haha. Cheers

So according to Bloomberg, they are quoting 2 sources familiar with the deal and it's only for 25 planes.

I just flew on a newish 757 from ATL to DTW with a very different seating plan, it had the first class and comfort plus together in the front. The bad thing was that the FA's did not let that area leave the plane first. The let us zipper out, which I did not appreciate. The plane was very nice with multi colored LED's and the bathroom was great.

Both the 767-2C and the KC46A(767-2C) Prototypes are hidden behind the EDC. They can be seen from the ATC Tower.

Plane facing you in the below picture is N461FT (First to fly) and is only a 767-2C Prototype. Will be used to certify flight controls, etc.. The plane with the rear facing you, with the USAF on the wing, is N462KC. This will be the first actual KC-46A Prototype to fly with working WARPs and tail boom.

Per an internal source with first hand knowledge. FedEx just committed to 50 767 Freighters. The deal should be announced later today or tomorrow morning.

They also hold options for 50 more 767Fs. If you look at their current fleet, with 50 MD-10s and over 50 MD-11s, some of those options could be firmed in near future.
