Actually, this revision was already made few years ago, with the bus route 95 serving as the tram replacement.

Sure. The line journeys were just conformed to the absence of subway. You can notice three major lines (93,94,95) which are perceived as a bearing lines of bus system in Petržalka. The tram is to replace those major lines and since it does not copy the entire lines, buses will be revised.

First trolleybuses Škoda 31Tr SOR are already in service, with more to come in the next weeks.

Reconstruction of the tram track to the Main railway station continues quickly with the opening scheduled for November.

What is the scope of this tram renovation? Is it just a complete renewal of tracks, or does it involve replacing those terribly run down platforms as well?

The transformation of the trainstation into a modern and nice place is still on hold, is it? Might take another decade or two ... What a pity. I rather prefer arriving in Petrzalka, at least until the tram line is back in operation again.

The reconstruction includes just the track replacement, unfortunately, platforms won't be reconstructed. The official reason is that the reconstrction of the railway station will start soon, however, everybody knows that it won't happen and nobody knows, what will be the future of the railway station reconstruction like...As you said, it might take decades...

In November, maybe in late October. Until November, one more tram track reconstruction should be completed - the modernization of the tram track in Dúbravka district:

If you are asking, why is everything due November, it's because of the elections to the city council

Works continue slowly also on the construction of the new tram track to Petržalka district:

I still think that the official argument makes sense. Not because the railwaystation reconstruction is going to happen soon but because reconstructing the platforms and connections to the station without having a real plan of how the new station is going to look like isn't such a great thing either.

Because the elections to the city council are in two weeks, works are going quickly on the modernization of the tram track in Dúbravka district:

The stops will be barrier-free and taller than the old type, what will allow a more comfortable boarding onto the low-deck trams.

One of the biggest public transportation terminals in the city is getting an upgrade onto the fully barrier-free space:

It definitely won't be got done. No mention about the tram track to main train station that will be opened for one week after and before renovation works.

Is the new low floor tram more spacious than the older trams? If I look at the interior (here: https://www.behance.net/gallery/18796357/behance.net) I get that impression. Do I have a wrong impression?

Nothing against your older stock but I was never a fan of their design. The new one however looks quite neat. The front nose is a bit weird but that doesn't change the overall impression. How many of them are ordered and when will they be delivered?

That's only the first part of the contract, 30 more (15+15) will come in the next year. That will be 60 trams in total, what will make exactly one half of the Bratislava tram fleet
