I just spent a half hour going through this entire thread. Wow! What a unique, powerful, stunning skyline set against a spectacular backdrop. There are so many different angles of this skyline, some better than others, but all with their own merits. The great thing is this skyline continues to evolve with new projects coming on line every year!

What is even more interesting is that I grew up in Seattle as a child of the 1960's, and watching the growth has been fascinating. Somewhere in the north american "Seattle" section there is a great historical thread with some great old shots showing how small Seattle once was. The growth of development is right up there among the tops in the United States. I can't wait for the future, especially if the past 30 years are any indication!

Seattle's skyline could be growing quite significantly in the next 10 years or so. A well known local family (the Clises) is selling off a large bit of their property holdings in an area just north of the CBD called the "Denny Triangle". The area is mostly parking lots right now, but the city council voted last year to ease height restrictions so that buildings up to 500 ft tall could be built there. The Clises hope to turn the area into a large urban complex similar to Rockefeller Center in New York or Canada Square/Canary Wharf in London.
