I disagree. I'm disappointed in how it's turning out

I'm personally excited to see how it'll turn out. I think top notch materials make modernist buildings look elegant, and this one certainly has some nice concrete.

It matches what's on the renders.

I understand the desire to add new elements, but it is so sad to see the rich history of these older buildings coming down. It would be nice to see efforts in place to preserve more of them rather than to demolish them.

David Chipperfield's The Bryant Soars in Manhattan

Quote:
Celebrated British architect David Chipperfield's vision for his first ground-up residential tower in the United States is quickly coming to life. HFZ Capital Group tapped the architect for a luxury project at 16 West 40th Street in Manhattan, just opposite busy Bryant Park and New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building.

I gotta say, this one fits perfectly with its surrounding. Proof that architecture doesn't have to be loud and abnoxious to stand out, #BIG

..Well;it's ok..nothing really inspiring to me;...isn't terrazzo a bit outdated?..
At least it melts quietly with its superior neighbours;honest design and imo preferable to some "fakish" STERNification.
..Got to see it in person i guess as i was first very enthousiast!
