I was always afraid that the modern buildings would take away the charm of the European cities, but i have been positively surprised with most of the changes in their skylines. Cities like London, Moscow, Madrid, Berlin, even Paris are, in my humble opinion, more appealing now with the contrast of modern and old architecture. Thanks for everyone that contributed to this wonderful thread. Amazing photos!!

Lol, I agree that London skyscrapers are of better quality, probably the best in the world honestly because they are so new, but La Défense's new skyscrapers are just as good, the old ones are fine too, but kind of boring now.

Carpe Diem was 150 million euros, I think it's fine the cladding. The new projects are much higher in budget though, lets just see once we have the new Paris city government and limits on the 1 january 2016.

Agree. I don't really get, why people in here, that want to actually promote Frankfurt, so often post exactly this still kinda shabby view. Guys, you are not doing Frankfurt any favors. The London/Moscow/and Paris guys are at the top of their game, presenting these cities always at their very best.
