Sorry, but this has nothing to do with a "real" skyline. There are only ugly communist building, which would never be approved in the US or in the EU.

Not the quantity counts, the qualitiy counts.Kiev would be a much more beautifoul city if it would have only historical and/or normal buildings but not so much ugly things,it destroys only a beautiful city. They should demolish them all.

There are only two types of skyscrapers:with expensive office spaces or with expensive residentals.Everything else is crap and cheap.

Skyline without architecture,cheap:

At the end of this year the Netherlands will pass the mark of 17 million inhabitants. However. the country is very decentralized - so the biggest city has only 850.000 citizens (or consumers, zombies or whatever you call people who are basically a sleep of what is going on geopolitically spoken off course). It also means there are only tiny little skylines over here.

Really, what about these recently completed in London (I am not even talking about rest of the EU because there are plenty more horrid examples):

or this:

And what is the difference between these and recently completed towers in Kyiv?

Most of them have nothing to do with communism.

Total nonsense. The difference between the newer Kiev towers and ones in western cities is not that big at all. Sure there are expensive office towers and luxury residential which are better quality in eu, but the vast majority of towers in western cities is not exactly great and Kiev towers are certainly not as bad as your claiming.

If you wanted to give an example of a place with poor architecture/towers, you picked the wrong city, Kiev is actually not bad at all

This thread is so ridiculous!!! All I can see her is a constant dick comparison alá "my city is better than yours!!!11"
That Eastern European cities are only consisting of commie blocks and are ugly as fu** despite a few skyscrapers is no news. But all these Russians and Ukrainians bi*ching about Italian or other western cities just because theyre jealous that they're not fully covered with commieblocks is just hilarious!!!😂😂😂

Damn everyone who has been to Russia or the like will approve that these cities over there are the ugliest ones existing. That's a fact.

I usually attend Asian discussion, but I Live in Milan actually. Ok I have a completely different concept of skyline
In my opinion in Europe there are only few cities with a "skyline" and they are Moscow, London, Milan, Paris. A skyline is not a mess of 20 story condominiums, but a group of true skyscrapers made with an urbanist plan.

This is the definition of a CBD, not skyline although I agree it is much more appealing when it is planned well.

Also, I guess Istanbul, Warsaw, Frankfurt are not good enough to make it in to your list. Interesting indeed.
