Moscow a copy of Shanghai? No way. Moscow is just very unique and doesn't look kind of Shanghai. And stylish is it all the way.

By the way "european" is such a thing. As skyscrapers aren't that european traditionally, it's difficult to call a skyline "european" by style.

(PS: As we all know, that you wanted to bash Moscow with that statement, mainly because of political issues, you should know, that Shanghai looks really good and has one of the best skylines of the world.)

Thank you and be welcome in Rotterdam!

I think our skyline has a great mix of buildings designed by internationally known architects, such as Foster and Siza (towers on the left), while a lot of buildings are designed by native Dutch architects, such as MVRDV, Abe Bonnema or Francine Houben (right tower). They know Rotterdam can handle wacky shapes or funky colors of the so-called Dutch Design.

Dutch modern architecture have a pretty distinct look, skyscrapers from Rotterdam look pretty "normal" though, nothing too crazy.

I've visited Shanghai many times. Any copy is always worse than the original.

Not always. And as I wrote, Moscow is in no way a copy of Shanghai.

And by the way as an example, it is very european as it has the seven sisters, which are really build in a european style, if you want it so. You can't find such style of architecture outside of europe.

This "my ***** is bigger than yours..."-contest is insulting for mine and your cognitive capabilities. Whatever...

And to be honest: maybe London has the biggest skyscraper in Europe - but it doesn't matter. Well... it doesn't matter if your self worth and ego is not fragile anymore.

Hence, if your personality is stable and mature enough you simply know that life is about 'being', not 'becomming'. So, in order to be you need to be able to see that everything is perfectly OK the way it already is. Relax - and don't pretend!

Furthermore: be honest - Warsaw is awesome, Moscow is beautiful and London is a diamond....

Only when you are insecure you are easily agitated when somebody who tells you your beloved city is like a tiny 'willy'.
Don't react on it - that's the only true way to show who has really biggest human heart! Yess, powerfull isn't it. Since this way you'll inspire (the) other(s) positively..!

(by the way - Mosow has the biggest, not London. It was for the sake of the argument!)

'Seven Sisters' are an imitation of the American skyscrapers that were built in the 1920/1930s.

Your point being? They sure were inspired by them, yet they combine many distinctive features what makes them easily distinguishable. Designs of the skyscrapers in the USA were just as well inspired by various preceding styles originating in Europe, still you can't claim the styles (or their variations) and designs developed can't be seen as distinctively 'American'.

Of course there was inspiration of the american towers, but the seven sisters are build at an own style (together with palace of culture in Warsaw and Riga). You will always recognize them as the seven sisters and won't confuse them.

So are there 7 of them or 8 or 9? Many people won't reconginise which one is in Riga, which one is Warsaw or which one is in Moscow or in Astana.

well that's just ignorance due to lo level of advertising. Many people in the world are well aware of 432 Park Avenue in NY but doesn't make this tower decent, beautiful or whatever.

May be. Before coming to this forum, I would hardly distinguish between towers in Moscow and in Warsaw and I didn't know similar tower existed in Riga before actually visiting Riga.

Also, some towers in Moscow have quite neglected facade - Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for example, which doesn't look grant from the street level, as it should be, which doesn't help greatly to promote these towers.
