Have you even been there ? It's one of the best places for leisure in all Europe.

One thing is to not like those massive appartment buildings or the skyline (I don't find it very beautiful by myself), but the city and it's surrounding areas themselves? They are in a very, veery beautiful zone, from semi-deserts with golden beaches with palm trees oasis to green forests to rocky mountains with crystal clear water dams. Very close to Benidorm you have kilometric zones with nothing more than thousands of big family houses and detached houses just like those ones in California if you don't like to live in an appartment. Also quite close you have an old castle in the top of a rocky mountain surrounded by nature and massive palm trees, in the top of it you have some astonishing views. In the city you have zoos, waterparks, all kinds of discos and pubs, all kinds of hotels with different activities, you have one of the biggest theme parks in Europe (Terra Mítica), another zoo-aquarium, even museums and a completely antique, beautiful and well cared classic zone with a beautiful terrace to the sea. And even a small islet which is a bird reserve at a few kms away!

I wrote this post only to inform you with total friendliness, I mean that "not a nice place" doesn't fit in any way to this area. Maybe not a beautiful city, not a nice skyline, some ugly massive brick buildings. But the place at itself is one of the best places to live, at least for me; not just for the leisure options as also for the massive variety of restaurants or pubs (just like big cities), the climate is also a very important factor (summers are milder than the surrounding areas due to it's location, and winters are totally mild to warm with 18-20ºC in the day and 8-10ºC in the nights), or the overall quality of life itself. That's why thousands of britons, norwegians or dutchmans have chosen Benidorm as their place to retire and some of them even build or made companies and businesses in the city and it's surrounding areas. Kind regards!

I take profit as I wrote this post to put more photos of Benidorm, as it's quite off topic. Kind regards!

In this photo it can be seen at the background a bit of the center and all the southern part of Benidorm (but not the north which is the most dense skyscraper zone in Benidorm!)

Yes. Have been there several times. I loved it! My uncle had a beautiful villa in Montemar (near Benissa) in the '80s and in the '90s he had a stunning apartment in Calpe.

I loved the rides from Calpe to Benidorm along the N-332 (Altea Hills!) in the cabriolet that we might use.

Agree. One of the reasons he bought those houses over there.

Lots of great modern skylines of Europe here, personal favourites are Rotterdam, Paris - La Defense, Warsaw...and London. I'm going to leave this video here of recent skyline footage from London; best in Europe imo

A bit off topic. But excuse us for being happy with this new addition to our future skyline.
Rotterdam gets a 220-meter high residential tower in the Maritime Quarter. A large majority of the City Council voted a 'yes' on Thursday for the construction of the so-called Zalmhaven Tower.

Great news for Rotterdam! I hope it gets an awesome design. It will be the highest tower of the Netherlands, right?

Thanks.
Yes it will be the tallest building/tower. There a few other residential towers approved but those will be 150-170 meters.

Correct! How do you know this?
Some butt ugly 80's constructions will be replaced by 2 x 70 meters mid rise and this 220 meters high rise residential building.

I am really surprised here!

I actually never heard of Benidorm but what a fantastic, scenic looking skyline.

This.

Nothing beats PARIS so far!.

It has the Just about right balance, elegance, cluster classiness.

Its not really tall but just tall enough. That square midrise was suppose to ugly up that PARIS skyline. Upon closer look, it sorts of balances the whole thing out. what an irony. That square building alone makes PARIS skyline that much better than rest of its european counter parts.

& to top all this off....

That EIFFEL TOWER lurking in foreground or background is just...

Nothing beats Paris so far!.
