Liverpool:

Amsterdam:

Lyon:

Oslo:

l know, like Benidorm, Minsk or Batumi, but put Liverpool, Amsterdam, Oslo, Lion with 3-8 highrises over city that have few average highrises and hundreds of lower or low quality ones, l thing, it's still unfair.

l give you Lion and Hague, but l don't see what is so special about Liverpool, Oslo and Amsterdam, these cities don't have so much higher quality buildings, that can beat Kiev's quantity.

I always take quality over quantity, but now as l reviewed Liverpool, Oslo, Amsterdam skylines, l notes, that they have just one or few highrises, that are average quality (in modern architecture sense), so they can't beat Kiev whitch has few average highrises it self + 100s of highrises that are lower or low quality.

True. For instance my city, Istanbul lacks that since our government worships money in the name of God. I bet there is a set regulation for the hmax in Oslo. On the other hand such coding laws get modified as the demand increases. Honestly it looks really neat as it is now.

I just remind you about Vienna because I think it's a little underrated.

You can call it ugly or whatever but it still remains one of the most dense skyline in Europe with number of buildings above 100 meters higher than most cities in Europe apart from London, Moscow, Paris and Istanbul:

Also, number of higher quality projects is on the rise.

It doesn't reduce the fact what I said about number of high rise buildings. Some people like Benidorm and some not but Kiev has larger number of high-rises compared to Benidorm also.

Kiev is a nice city (way more classy than Benidorm btw), but when it comes to skylines, it's not about the quantity, you know.

Vilnius doesn't have a lot of highrises but it definitely has a better skyline

Too bad they chose orange, not black cladding on Mercury tower, and deleted antenna, also deleted spire with observation deck between twin towers. It would look more spectacular and more classy, at the same time.
Maybe, it would overpass La Defence, that is in my second place.

Yeah, Vilnius skyline is quit nice (l would get rid of some highrises and change them, but it looks nice).
Vilnius skyline channeled trough years quit gradually, as it is shown here: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...1826838&page=5
There was some stagnation, when 2008 crises hit LT, now when there is big demand for A and A+ class offices, new boom start: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...1826838&page=6

New Europe's tallest in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Definitely, there's a reason why Nimbys protest all the time if a highrise' contrustion talks come up there.

There's a lot of smog in Paris apparently. But the photo is nice!

Both Benidorm as well as Kiev have a lot of work to done in terms of quality indeed. Still, Kiev has more to offer than Benidorm in that respect - and, in my view, it definitely belongs skyline wise in Europe's top 15... For the future it has a lot of potential.
