This is sort of a crap post, but I've got this creepy feeling that Phase II will be named "The Ville". I don't know. maybe they'll avoid the cliche, but ... yeah ... got this uneasy feeling about the name.

Here are a couple quick shots I took while over by the Trump. Also shouldn't this thread be called 345 E Ohio since that is what it actually is?

First of all, will someone change the goddamn name of this thread???

It should be The Streeter (345 East Ohio).

And in other news, I went to city hall today intending to get the PD application for the CBS Studio site. Unfortunately I was given the wrong PD, and I didn't realize it until I was on the train going home. I was given the PD for the 2 tower development where the Streeter is going up.

It appears that Phase II will be 570', so I guess that's a bit of good news.

The facade on the building isn't bad. Creates a nice contrast with the Time-Life building. But the facade on the garage portion leaves a lot to be desired.

^ true, although I find that the choice of color adds a bit of pizazz to the streetscape, as opposed to beige concrete yuckiness

Agreed. Maybe I'll have to check it out in person to really appreciate it.

Yeah, I'd have to say that the translucent panels on the garage are one of the building's better features and really add some much needed color to S'Ville.

I'm sad to announce that the tower-crane for The Streeter is no more . They were disassembling it yesterday and I can no longer see it over-top of Time Life .

That's a good new. Probably the same cranes will be re-assembled for Phase II.

No, phase 2 has to be approved by the plan commission, because they're asking for an amendment to the PD.
