The Philippines is currently in an architecture dark age. Bad architecture is the national standard.

Sad. This seems to happen in places were some people has lots of easy money and don't know what to do with it... You know, like Asia and the Middle East. Definitely prefer quality over quantity.

If it was just the bottom bit extended upwards, it would be gorgeous.

Every part alone would be georgeous in my opinion. But so it's not that great, but also not that horrible.

Saskia Sassen does a pretty good job explaining the reason for all these shiny glass condos (hint: economic$) http://www.theguardian.com/cities/20...concern-us-all

Generic Miami-style condos aren't bad enough to be remarkable, but that one building in the first pic where the facade looks like it's melting...

And yet some more "old, but still ugly" is the House of 12 Chimneys outside Barrow-in-Furness, England

You guys must know Argentinean architects favourite architect: Clorindo Testa!

Believe it or not, in Argentina this is not considered "the dark side of architecture" but the result of a genius mind

Some of these payed woth contributors money!

His design for this!

And this masterpiece recently built, the Museo del Libro...

The beach is very ugly, let's hide it with more uglyness:

Many thanks for postin'!

First thing! We almost got 100k views and almost 500 posts! It is amazing. Thanks guys for posting and viewers for viewing. I want to encourage you all to post some photos of crappy buildings from your town. I know no one wants to be spotted doing some pics of ugly house/kindergarten/church, but i would much appreciate any new photos!

Very 'interesting' architecture If this greenish building is a factory it is ok. Its not that weird. Only the 'towers/cockpits" are a bit out of the composition. It is probably due to a functional feature of that factory. Pink building as someone menitoned is quite ok to. It is just the color.

Here I have something what i saw in Edinburgh [London Rd] today. The building as a whole is not that bad. It is just not belong there. I wanted to sorry for the quality but tbh it is not bad at all. The camera on my phone is good!

Edinburgh

More Manila. This skyline is only around 10 years old.

Manila could be worse; it could look like Dubai.
