I disagree, those balustrades should never be used with such recessed balconies, or on a building with such a shape, and the bottom floor is terrible and disconnected. The glass part makes no sense. A poor attempt to bring classical with the modern = kitsch.

Somehow most Novotels are always butt-ugly buildings. I'm sure there are exceptions but most of them looks so cheap.

I agree.
Look at this in Bucharest. They demolished a nice historic building to build that.

I think Holiday Inns are even worse. There seems to be one of these ugly f*ckers in every town in North America 30 ft eyesore sign included.

Nothing was demolished there .Novotel built a replica of the old facade of Bucharest's national theater which used to be where the hotel is today

Oh, I thought it was the original facade and they built the newer theatre where it currently is.

Still, it is cheap-looking and the 'novotel' sign is ugly.

The pyramid itself would have looked good standing alone but the rest... not so much.

''Casas remesas'' or known in English as ''Remittances houses'' because of the new found wealth some families encounter when they suddenly receive large amounts of money coming from United States. In Central America a substantial amount of the population's income is from remittances sent from wealthy nations, a lot of it funding the construction of tasteless homes like these:

I won't mention the countries of the homes but they are all in Central America

There is a difference between bad buildings/houses made by architects and those who are made by amateurs, people, etc.

I wish these amateurs would cut it out already in Romania, they are spoiling the landscape with many houses like this.
