Perth rules!!! I visited there last September while staying in Fremantle.

Very clean & friendly with a spectacular skyline.

7.5. Definately a nice skyline. Could use some residential though. Reminds me a bit of Houston, except that Perth has a better gradual increase in building height, as seen in the pano by Perthwa.

Perth's got a great skyline to it, but it needs more filler towers. I give it an 8/10.

Well the good news is we have a 207m tower resi and a 197m tower resi on the way. A 100m resi planned and alot of redevelopments that will extend and add new dimension to the skyline.

We also have 7 skyscrapers ranging from 40-80m going up east of the river. So we have alot of development to come.

Swan Pano towers approved by the PCC. Sorry about the picture.

We also have a 130m office tower planed for next to Central Park.

Little fake in the sense that all the photos resemble a long quite impressive skyline with a nice setting, but Perth lacks hugely in density ( I found Adelaide more urban, yes it lacks height but it is dense and is more than simply a few streets wide). Perth is also quite a small city, it actually struck me by surprise how small it really was. Its kind of one long main street or rougly 2 city blocks in width, other than that there isn't much else skyline wise in Perth.

6 is my vote....

Sorry to all the Perth Boosters, but 2 nice tall buildings do not constitute a great skyline for me. If anything, they just show the lack of height and gaps in the rest of the skyline. For me Australia's 5th skyline, behind Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and a rapidly improving Gold Coast. 6.5

its pretty dense when you think about it fitting around about 100 skyscrapers onto one or two streets.

and its not rate how dense the city is, its rate a skyline and in the dictionary skyline means >> outline of hills, buildings, etc. against the sky, the visible horizon.
