Evergrande is a troll developer. They've been releasing countless supertalls in the last 10 years and started none.

a lot of those projects also went to preparation stages, so even when we have a lot of ground works happening, the project stays doubtful.

they have shorter towers that get built and they are a very big developer. Don't think they do it on purpose, but they maybe don't know for a building of this size you need some more effort than for some residential buildings.

Why bump a thread that hasn't been active since last November? And why look at a thread that says "Evergrande" in the title at all?

SSP has a "vision" category and then a "fantasy" category, another step below that it should have an "Evergrande" category...

Some GLM fellow took a peep at the developers's website and found another rendering. Just got a kick about its looks.

We can easily count 142 floors plus a large crown around 11 floors. That would make around 700m at the very least. Still concept anyway.

and still a project by evergrande. As long as the other projects like the one in Hefei are not rising, I don't believe they'll ever built a supertall.

We always dip into blistering comments against these deceivers , but I must say some of their projects have shown progress recently.

I mean, Evergrande shattered our confidence with countless fake projects that were never even started (in spite of their boasting ground breaking ceremonies), but now they have a number of them in piling works including a couple of supertalls so I don't really know what to expect.

Also Evergrande is one of the largest developers in China so they should have the financial abilities.
By the way: I think the nanyou twin towers also get developed by them.

Indeed, they are strong, yet unreliable. We have records of over a dozen of supertalls in the last 10 years that were officially started (golden shovel party) and never actually saw any action.

Evergrande's trolling records:

Shenzhen Evergrande Centre. 600m. Announced for years, nothing happens. At least it's never been officially started.

Jinan Evergrande IFC. 560m. 4 years after the ground breaking party nothing happens.

Hefei Evergrande IFC. 518m. 4 years after the ground breaking they're still on piling works. Still pending to confirm whether it's about the main tower or just the side ones.

Guangzhou Evergrande IFC. 500m+. Released around 2010 I think, not far away from the twins. Nothing ever happened.

Harbin Evergrande IFC. 500m+. Released around 2012. Nothing ever happened.

Hohhot Evergrande Xinhua Square. 500m. Released in 2013. Dead.

Ningbo Evergrande ARA City. 455m. Approved in 2011, no activity.

Wuhan Evergrande IFC. 438m, released around 2009 next to Wuhan Centre. Nothing ever happened.

Linyi Evergrande IFC. 360m. Approved in 2012, dead.

Fushun Evergrande IFC. 314m and 305m. Approved in 2011. In one of the plots they are building a residential cluster of midrises instead, the other is a dead pit.

Nanning Evergrande International Centre. 300m. Approved in 2013. They're building the shopping centre phase. They plot with the towers is just a dead pit.

Changchun Evergrande Centre. 300m. Announced in 2010, nothing happened.

With a population as social media savvy as the Chinese, Evergrande gotta think about their image eventually and not be known as the company that announces huge projects in every city and never builds any of them. Still won't believe they ever build something tall until the day their first tall building tops out.

Maybe they just propose supertalls as advertising for smaller projects arround them. So that they can tell there costumers that the property will get more valuable when they build the landmark tower nearby. Then Evergrande would indeed be a troll developer.

The latest option looks like a twisted knee-sock fabric. Was it designed by a fashion designer?

600m building would be good choice for Shenzhen, I prefer some "spire building" near KK. http://st-listas.20minutos.es/images...jpg?1390571990
