What city are they from (IP address)? They are probably pissed off that they can't vote more than once, so they have to go to the trouble of registering again and again. LMAO

Whatever city they're we shouldn't extrapolate that to mean they're representative of people from that place. There are rotten apples in every basket.

Great find Elk! ICE I & II will fill in that 'empty' bit before spring hits. Those Foster twins would look awfully nice in there as well. They'd likely look taller than the top of the FCP antenna since they're proposed for Front Street which is much closer to the lake.

That's the best building in City Place, imo. Ironically, its the only one that's 'subsidized' housing.

Fabulous photo by lucci, btw. I couple years back I gave Toronto a 8.5/10 but today its a 8.7/10. By 2015, it'll be a 9/10.

Ϊce is making a strong impact on the skyline now. However, in about 5 years, the 2 Ϊce towers, 10 York and Harbour Plaza Residences likely will ruin the
near-perfect, "mountain" symmetry of the main skyline cluster from the lake. Oxford Place and the Gehry towers, if built, will be the final nails in the coffin. image hosted on flickr ![]() http://www.flickr.com/photos/416pict...n/photostream/ image hosted on flickr ![]()

Skylines change, grow, build new peaks, etc. The idea that the FCP-Scotia Plaza peak must remain the tallest forever is just bizarre. Same goes for the CN Tower. Toronto, like every other growing city on the planet, will build new peaks and our core will fill out over time. 45 Bay would do wonders for the balance of the skyline if it were 350-450m tall. 37 years after the fact, we're still waiting for that building to counter balance the CN Tower. Toronto is still growing up to meet it.

It would seem as though you haven't had a close look at the images in this thread, or a studied look at Toronto in real space. The skyline is beautifully balanced in all directions; north, south, east and west. And that's no accident. It's a matter of proper planning, sensible land-use and good economics, all of which can maintain the skyline in its general form through decades of growth to come, with plenty of supertalls to boot. Feel better?
