The NKBAK tower would have been difficult to market with these tiny balconies.

I've visited the exhibition at the planing department today, I won't post any pictures because most of it has been seen here already, but there is some extra information, that wasn't published so far:

the final height is actually exactly 165,0m - it's the tallest of all proposals

the floor count is 1 groundfloor + 46 regular floors + mechanical floor, taking it to a total of 48 floors (plus 2 underground floors), the parking structure has 9 floors (also atop of 2 underground floors).

the second winner was designed with a height of 160,7m (41 floors).
the third winner has a height of 160,0m (47 floors).
the last two had heights of 160m (46 floors) and 159,9m (49 floors).

I'm not impressed. An unspectacular tower compared to this:

As much as I love the winning design, I find it quite sad for two other designs that I really love: Schneider+Schumacher and the twisted tower by Raumwerk. Those are really distinctive and beautiful designs, which you don't get often. I wish they could be built elsewhere in Frankfurt.

According to today's Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, which is quoting the developer, construction starts this year. The tower will contain 406 apartments and the date of completion is end of 2018.
