Croatian Baroque churches - vault

Hello, I was wondering if there were any experts on church architecture who could help me. Does anyone happen to know the English term for these triangular sections which are "cut into" the vault and depict saints? Thank you!

I am not an expert, but what you are describing is called plate tracery when there is stained glass inside in Gothic churches. I don't know if it's the same in Croatian Baroque

Well, to my knowledge there isn't really a set term for this particular part of the vault field.
Calling it a "vault bay" or "spandrel" isn't really correct (you could call it a "vault spandrel", and be be somewhat right).

I would call this part of the vault a "vault panel", and in this particular case a "lateral vault panel", since it is in the lateral part of the vault ceiling.
Calling it the "lateral vault web" or "lateral vault spandrel" is, in my opinion, also correct.
