I'm elated to see all of the hyped-up projects finally come into being. Hudson Yards, Manhattan West, Tower Verre and to a lesser extent nowadays the WTC.

Can someone tell me when the other two towers are projected to commence? Seems they're losing out on the bull market by waiting so long, as the hudson sprouts

One Manhattan West is underway currently to accommodate Skadden, who is taking 550,000 sqft of the tower's 2.1m sqft in 2020. Two Manhattan West will be built according to demand.

Thanks, I'm up to date with almost all NYC construction but this one seemed to slip under the radar, and I passed by the site today and it appeared nothing was going on.

Side note: Walking by the tallest hudson yards building today was insane, I've never witnessed a larger concentration of cranes than I saw there

Yes, the Hudson Yards is America's biggest construction site. Even bigger than the original WTC.

Oh believe me, I know that, the largest private project in US History, and arguably world history when we amalgamate all the work going on nearby. But I mean specifically for the single tallest building I saw five cranes, that's insane for a singular building

Canary Wharf/the Docklands in London is probably the largest, but it's not a singular, master-planned project.

I'm surprised they're not going with 3 Manhattan West right now considering that there's plenty of demand for residential.

Maybe you meant 2 Manhattan West which will be the twin of 1 Manhattan West, cause #3 is the subject at hand and as you see above, it is currently rising.
#2 is commercial not residential so it is waiting for a tenant before it can move forward.

Clearly I'm speaking in regards to a singular mega project haha, otherwise there are loads of candidates. Also having been to canary wharf, I can't see how the activity there could match the high line/meatpacking/hudson yards, far midtown west level of investment. I saw a ranking today that showed NYC is receiving around 40 billion in annual real estate investment, while London receives 20 (in second place to NYC), and clearly the bulk of NYC's investment at the moment is in the Hudson Yards. Thus, Hudson Yards wins.
