It is true not all of buildings from Panamá are the greatest architectonic creations in the world, but that does not mean that none of them are quality and at the same time it does not mean everything in Santiago is of quality. We are talking of 115 vs 18 buildings. With respect to proportion maybe we can say most of theirs are nice buildings, but overall, we can pick out a good 18 buildings that just as good. And more recognizable skyline? How do measure that?

Also about the modernity. In Santiago you had 8/10, only 3 out of 18 of the buildings over than 150 ft have been built since 2010. I would have put maybe 6/10 in modernity. While in Panama City you had 7/10, 30 out of 91 buildings over 300ft (twice the height for the comparison with Santiago) have been built since 2010. I would have given maybe 8 or 8.5 out of 10.

In natural beauty. In Santiago you had 9/10. The background of Santiago are the mountains. Yes the Andes are impressive, but due to the few buildings, and the contrast to the mountains, maybe it would be a 7/10. In Panama you had natural beauty a 6/10 where you have a beautiful bay with blue waters in front and some stunning hills and tropical rainforest in the back, the Panama Canal and the Bridge of the Americas to the west. Very few places in the planet you have a rain forest within city limits. It should have been between a 7 or 8 out of 10.

Density for Santiago you had 6/10 while in Panama you had 9/10. In Santiago you were overly generous, if we look at the picture given, you only see a couple of skyscrapers. I would have put it at most 4 at most 5 out of 10. In the picture of Panama, it was only Punta Pacifica. The picture is missing practically 80% of the skyline of Panama City.

Also, I cannot believe that Sao Paulo is not in the Latin America top 10.

Buenos Aires' skyline is going to get a considerable facelift in the next four years.

Torre BBVA (150 meters), Torre Macro (135 meters) and the Alvear residential building (235 meters) should add some nice density and curves to the waterfront views of the skyline. By 2018 these three projects are expected to be complete. They will be concentrated in the CBD area.

Here's the 25 Tallest Buildings in either Santiago or Panama City:

1. Santiago: Torre Costanera (2014) 300m
2. Panama City: Trump Ocean Club International Tower (2011) 284m
3. Panama City: Vitri Tower (2012) 281m
4. Panama City: Star Bay Tower/Bicsa Financial Center (2013) 267m
5. Panama City: The Point (2011) 266m
6. Panama City: Arts Tower/YooPanama (2013) 247m
7. Panama City: Ocean Two (2010) 246m
8. Panama City: Pearl Tower (2011) 242m
9. Panama City: Rivage (2012) 233m
10. Panama City: Revolution Tower/F&F (2011) 233m
11. Panama City: Waters Tower (2011) 232m
12. Panama City: Tower Financial Center (2011) 231m
13. Panama City: Megapolis Tower One (2011) 230m
14. Panama City: Q Tower (2011) 226m
15. Panama City: Ten Tower (2011) 221m
16. Panama City: White Tower (2011) 218m
17. Panama City: The Paramount (2015) 214m
18. Panama City: Aqualina Tower (2008) 210m
19. Panama City: Oasis on the Bay (2012) 209m
20. Panama City: Ocean One (2008) 208m
21. Panama City: Oceania Business Plaza (2012) 207m
22. Panama City: Soho HSBC Tower One (2015) 207m
23. Panama City: Aquamare Tower (2007) 198m
24. Panama City: Yacht Club Tower (2012) 196m
25. Santiago: Titanium La Portada (2010) 195m

In 2 years, Evolution Tower will also push off Titanium La Portada off the list. So Panama will have 24/25 tallest buildings between the two of them. Yet Santiago has the taller skyline? Sounds like a weak argument to say Costanera having 16m more height overcomes Panama having 96% of the tallest buildings between the two cities. And this doesn't include towers where the height is dubious. I would wager that Titanium LaPortada is already off the list given the height of some of the Costa del Este developments that only show floor count but appear to be taller than 200m.

I thought the Trump Ocean Club International Tower was 293 meters (961 ft), so the difference is just 7 meters or 23 feet. So the difference is even less.

Unfortunately, the spire was never added to the Trump Ocean Club. So the actual height is 284m, not 293m. If you look at the renders and the end product, you'll see the little needle stick that was supposed to be built but wasn't.
