Super! I love the lower tower, it looks like a giant quarterpipe for skateboarding.

Two towers

Hi Azer,
Hope all is well. Just wondering if you know where those two towers are going to be built. Do you know the exact address by any chance? I am just trying to by an appartment around Gagarin bridge, so wanted to avoid buying where these towers are going to be built.
Thanks i advance,
Elchin.

Hi,
location of project is shown below. It is between Neftchilar Avenue and Javanshir (former Gagarin) bridge, next to Port Baku Tower:

Baku is coming alive! This capital city is gaining so much momentum in the build up to the European Games-I hope this is the start of a great architectural renaissance in Central Asia-particularly with the ground breaking soon on the Azerbaijan Tower

Azerbaijan is not Central Asia! There is no Northern and Western Asia on the borders of Azerbaijan to call it this way. In fact, the country itself is on the crossroads of Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

A NEW SKYLINE, A NEW PUBLIC PLAZA

Appointed to design the roof gardens at podium level, Scape also created the ground level public realm including streetscape, drop-offs and a new plaza.

The final phase of the prestigious Port Baku development is conceived around an architectural vision of dynamic waves of energy, opposing the static qualities of the existing defensive walls. The design is driven by the fundamental climatic elements that shape the City of Baku.

Comprising of two striking commercial towers, the buildings sit on a podium incorporating retail and restaurants at ground level nesting the new public plaza. When complete, the 48 storey East tower will be the tallest building in Baku at 251m.

DESIGN DETAILS

A 160m x 6m media wall on the fašade of the building will be the third largest in the world

GFA 145,000sqm and 121,000sqm of lettable space (Office, Retail and F&B)

A disused 50m high furnace chimney built in 1900 sits centrally within the site

The historic structure is retained to form the focal point of a plaza

Host a dry fountain play-space, animating and cooling

‘Fifth floor elevation’, the roofscape is designed to create maximum visual impact from above

Striking paving design responds to lobby flooring to create a unified inside/outside

Integrated security measures are created in the streetscape

CLIENT: Pasha Construction
STATUS: Detailed Design
SIZE: 2.1 hectares with 1.1 hectares Landscape
TEAM: Chapman Taylor; Mace; Buro Happold; Francis Krahe Lighting; URAL; Irritech
