SOUTH REGION l Heritage and nature.
Heritage and nature in the South of Saudi Arabia Again and again! Since Saudi don’t issue the Tourist VISA here is free tour. Saudi Arabia is the 14th biggest country in the world, and the biggest in the Middle East therefore you will observe a lot of sights, history and culture. Media always bring the bitter part of the country. Southern Saudi Arabia is a smart spot for internal vocation. Very green and weather always cool all year around. They plant a lot of fruits and vegetables like Pineapple, papaya and Coffee beans People are so friendly and very simple. You see women helping their husbands on on their daily work of fields or the city. Here are some photos of Asir, Fifa, Baha, Wadi Laith, Najran and Bani Saad: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Locals: ![]() ![]() Historical sights: ![]() A Bronze Lion head ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Al-Ukhdood (The groove). Mentioned in the holy Quran in Al Buroj verse. Al- Buroj n Arabic means The Big Star. A King dug ditch filled with fire. He used to throw the people whom are against his believe in that deep ditch. Here is a verse from the holy Quran talking about this sight. ~~~ 85:3 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness; 85:4 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 85:5 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 85:6 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 85:7 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 85:8 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 85:9 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. ![]() 85:10 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. Hello all
Qatar4Ever Oh do you have relatives or roots from the South? You are correct those pictures are combinations of Asir, Fifa, Baha, Wadi Laith, Najran and Bani Saad all together. Still Najran not as green as the others. Bahraini Spirit I hope you enjoyed your time there . Allan Merhaba, mutlus ye blmek sen hoalanmk doga. Correct me if I were wrong, I forgot most of my Turkish , I tried to say (Happy to know you enjoy nature). If you remember Ibrahim Tatlis old tradition music, the south of Saudi Arabia remind me of him I don’t know why . I just love his songs spicily Mavi Mavi and Allah Allah hualya brings old memories.Huit where have you been , we miss you here!

Hello Justin194 yes we have many. I did a post on Madain Saleh here
is the link: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=173087 OK I just posted something about Khaybar the old (Arab, Jewish, Assyrian and Babylon city). http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=174573 The city of Tema, Makkah, Farasan Island…etc are all ancient cities. Some lost its identity and some still survived. There are some very old villages in the north and south, which are very old as well. Geologist are studding a location in Jeddah, they believe there is a city barred under the ground there. Qatar4Ever I agree with you Fifa is amazing place and you are very right there people there are very interesting. I mean men wear flower near their ears and women wear a huge hat like the Mexican hats . I am sure you are aware of those. Did you know some part of the South they don’t speak Arabic! They speak (Hamyari) which is a Semitic language but not Arabic. Huit I am glad you are doing well, keep busy and stay out of troubles .Allan Thanks for the correction! I am the worst Turkish writer in the world. Still when I speak or pronounce the words I have the perfect accent. When I speak Arabic (my language) I have the influence in my words. I will see your nature photos, in fact I have aloooot of nature photos taken by my self. I might share it with you soon. Last edited by Olive touch; January 28th, 2005 at 11:52 PM. |

Wow, these sights are once again, phenomenal. Why doesn't Saudi Arabia issue tourist visas? What do they issue? And is there any possible way i may be able to tour Saudi Arabia on my own? It is such a beautiful place and there is nothing i would love to do more then explore the land of the prophet.

Hi all,
Allan . The pictures of nature I took are from the US because I am now there. I will post them some where else but you will be the first person to know about them. Nizey: I am so glad you enjoyed the photos. We have only 2 Visas which is Omrah VISA(for religious duty) and business VISA. I think they will be issuing tourist VISA someday in the future. It is the government policy for not issuing it. |
