This thing is so damn skinny, it might rival the Steinway Tower for slenderness. Nice design already and hopefully it will improve even more as it is developed into the final product.

It kind of remind me of this gorgeous miniscraper (obviously much taller)

The Price Tower in Oklahoma City by the great Frank Lloyd Wright. (Correction, not in Oklahoma City but Bartlesville, near Tulsa)

Looking back, this tower is sort of a modern version of what visions and unfulfilled proposals looked like in the early 20th century. The glassy facade is the most obvious modern touch.

Yes definitely. It's almost like a revival of early 20th century gothic revival, with the ribbing, the crown, the skeletal, lightweight feel and soaring proportions.

Its the supertall that Brooklyn deserves. I mean really, if you were going to build a supertall in Brooklyn this is all you would hope for. Classic design.

The top has an Art Deco feel to it.

Looks beautiful ! Very classic yet modern.
I hope it will come true. Would also fit perfectly in midtown...

Anyone else thinking of the second Lord of the Rings movie seeing that render?

Is it just a design choice or are the plots in brooklyn as tiny as in manhattan?

Some plots are big, some plots are small. This just happens to be a relatively small plot, since it will share the space with a landmarked building and another building that wasn't for sale.

With that said, Brooklyn (Kings county) is the 2nd densest county in the United States after Manhattan (New York county), with the density almost equivalent to the inner 23 wards of Tokyo.

I like it! It looks like Gotham is being actualized...Kinda reminds me of Theo Galavan's tower in the TV Series "Gotham"

-NOTE: These two images are screenshots taken from "Gotham" (a TV Series) and not claimed as my own. "Gotham" is produced by DC Entertainment, Primrose Hill Productions and Warner Bros. Television. It is distributed by Warner Bros. Television Distribution. The original airing network is FOX and the screenshots were taken from Amazon.com streaming player on Windows 10 on November 14, 2015. The first of these two images/frames is cropped from its original size.

Yeah definitely had all the art deco / LOTR feels when seeing that design. If it can approach even anything remotely close to the renders, I'm in love .

This architect was willing to take a risk with the design, he could have chosen for a safe option and make a box like every other. But boy does this look good. I guess I will use this emoticon a lot in this thread.

That's the purpose of great architects : dream the city of the future for us, offer us what we dream of.

Really awesome design!
Are there any 200m+ proposals nearby to balance it a bit?
