Possibly, the project Meydan One has caused the cancellation of this project. I guess...

Dubai is amazing, it's a billionaires and multimillionaires playground...however I've never seen a base population or mass middle class to support it. How can it mantain?

^According to that article, they are designing Phase 1 of the project. This will be absolutely enormous and I hope they actually build it!

really interested to see the revised scheme in the article, great to see that they are embracing a more open outdoor concept for a mixed use city that develops the ideas from City Walk and the Beach further. The future of development in Dubai is integrated, walkable developments with a proper public realm to spend time in.
