But I would not mind to place 35th on Forbes 500 list.

It does look a bit like Constantin Brancusi - Endless Column.

Don't think is necessary to use color gradient in the glass.

Glass can have the same color, bust since all have different angles of light reflection, it could have similar effect.

(maybe not as strong as in renders but still, they could use different color, or play with the light for a more subtle effect)

Good, one of the largest development companies in China is pumping 900 million in this project; then again anything can happen.

A new application as of June 10, 2015 says the building could be up to 98 stories at 1200'. Hope they take full advantage!

So is maximum height to a roof? I mean unless the highest "occupied floor" was mechanical or an actual roof below a parapet...

In most modern buildings it would be very unusual for a highest occupied floor to be so close to the maximum height, especially since I think there's a parapet.

Parapet, 30 feet is close? Maybe the height reference is the ceiling and not the floor

Per the North Building Elevation, top of parapet is at elevation +1,151'-0". Note that the lobby is at elevation+57'-0". If the CTBUH measures the height from the main entrance to the top of structure, then this tower would be 1,094-ft tall. If the height is measured from the lower level of Wacker Drive (elevation +7'-9") then the height of the tower would be 1,143'-3" tall.

CHICAGO | Wanda Vista Tower | 349m | 1144ft | 93 fl | Pro

It's 1,151, CTBUH already is using the ground level as reference. 7'9 is from wacker not ground level...

I agree with some post above, Chicago needs a new supertall, it's been a while since the last one. I don't want this city to stay behind.

Don't worry, it's likely this will be built. A lot of other great projects (supertall and non supertall) should also start within the next year too.

The Aqua proposal looks fabulous, however, the Wanda Group proposal is not my cup. I think they could do far better in terms of design.
