Simple but elegant I'd say.

Which design would be better for the Chicago skyline? The previous "boxy" design, or the Jeanne Gang design that is being built right now? I suspect that you came up with that design for the Wanda Vista Tower because the Chicago skyline needed some variety.

Not to derail the thread, but Toronto has never been on par with Chicago. Chicago had the world's tallest building for more than 20 years. Toronto doesn't even have one supertall today.
Don't get me wrong, Toronto has a great skyline, but it is not in the same league.
Great to see this under prep. It is about time Chicago got a new supertall - New York can't have all the fun.

Yep.

# of buildings over 300m: Chicago 6 vs Toronto 0
WINNER: Chicago
Chicago has 6x+ as many

# of buildings over 250m: Chicago 12 vs Toronto 6
WINNER: Chicago
Chicago has 2x as many

# of buildings over 200m: Chicago 29 vs Toronto 23
WINNER: Chicago
Chicago has 1.25x as many

# of buildings over 150m: Chicago 118 vs Toronto 68
WINNER: Chicago
Chicago has nearly 2x as many

# of buildings over 100m: Chicago 314 vs Toronto 262
WINNER: Chicago
Chicago has 1.2x as many

Chicago wins on every category. The only people who think Toronto is on the cusp of passing Chicago are Torontonians. And notice that these numbers include every buildings currently under construction in Toronto. And even then it doesn't come close.

Now with Wanda Vista and Wolf Point on the way, it looks like Chicago will build on its lead as the 2nd greatest city in North America. And with the way things are going, Miami will be a dark horse for 3rd place in a decade (5 supertalls on the horizon).

Where did all this city vs city come from? Chicago and Toronto are both great cities, and I hope both of them see plenty of development. However, this thread is about Chicago's seventh supertall, so lets keep discussion about that.

Not to nitpick but this is also untrue. The world's tallest structure from 1963-1974 was the KVLY-TV mast in Blanchard, ND: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KVLY-TV_mast. When the CN Tower was complete, the tallest structure was the Warsaw Radio Mast at 2,121'. CN Tower never held the title.
